Los árboles mueren de pie na Bombuj. In Mexico, the town of Cherán is threatened by timber traffickers who plunder its forests and terrorize its inhabitants. Some villagers disappear, sacred trees are cut down, the government remains silent. Cherán, led by a small group of women, decides to rebel. This struggle leads the community along the path of its ancestral Purepecha traditions.
